Will Friedle in 'Guardians of the Galaxy' animated series

Actor Will Friedle will lend his voice to Marvel's upcoming 'Guardians of the Galaxy' animated series.

The 'Girl Meets World' star will play Star-Lord in the forthcoming Disney XD show, reported he Wrap.

Also joining the cast of the show are Kevin Michael Richardson and Trevor Devall, who will play Groot and Rocket Raccoon respectively.

Test footage from the series featuring Star-Lord and Rocket Raccoon was previously unveiled during a panel at New York Comic-Con back in October.

'Guardians of the Galaxy' will premiere on Disney XD in 2015.
