A 55-year-old woman was killed while her husband was injured today when they were attacked by two motorcycle-borne youths, who tried to rob them.
They were attacked when Bijendri and her husband Vikram Singh (60) were on their way home, carrying fodder in their bullock cart this afternoon in Bhatuna village.
They were stopped by two unidentified motorcycle-borne youths who tried to snatch bangles and ear rings of Bijendri, Superintendent of Police, Man Singh Chauhan said.
The woman was attacked when she resisted the loot attempt and she died on the spot due to head injuries, Chauhan said.
Vikram Singh was badly injured, after he was thrashed by the youth.
An FIR has been filed and investigation launched into the incident, police said.
