Woman Maoist gets life term for killing policeman

A woman Maoist was today sentenced to life imprisonment by a court here in connection with the killing of a Police Inspector in Naxal-hit Ghorabandha area in 2009.

The court of Additional District Judge I Ghatsila held Shoba Munda guilty and sentenced her to life imprisonment.

The police inspector, Ramjatan Baitha, was on patrolling in the Naxal-affected area in Ghatsila sub-division when the CPI (Maoists) triggered the landmine blast, killing him on the spot in 2009.
