Woman's body found, rape suspected

Body of a woman was today found in a semi-nude condition in Pali Crusher Zone area here, with the police suspecting that she was raped and murdered.

The body, recovered from bushes along the road, has been kept at the local hospital for identification, police said, adding that the victim was strangulated to death.

While it is suspected that she was raped before being killed, police said the post-mortem report will bring out the truth.
