Rajiv Mehrishi resumes charge as Fertilizers Secretary

Rajiv Mehrishi, an officer of the 1978 batch of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), assumed charge as the Secretary, Department of Fertilizers, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, on December 2, 2013. Mehrishi joins in the vacancy that has arisen after the retirement of Sudhir Mital, who retired on November 30, 2013.

Before taking up his new post of Fertilizers Secretary, Mehrishi was Secretary, Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs.
