Elgi Rubber buys US-based Cincinnati Retread Systems

Elgi Rubber Company Limited, the Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu) based manufacturer of equipment and raw material for rubber industry, has acquired controlling stake in the US based Cincinnati Retread Systems, which produces tyre retread/reclamation equipment for the tyre retread/reclamation industry.
 
Established in 1975, Cincinnati Retread Systems has developed into a principal provider of tyre recycling equipment specialising in tyre buffers, expandable hubs & rims, tyre mulchers, pollution control systems and classifiers. The company manufactures its equipment with the latest technology and quality components at its Fairfield (Ohio) plant.
 
Elgi Rubber manufactures a comprehensive range of raw material, equipment, tools and accessories used in the rubber industry, predominantly in the tyre sector. Elgi Rubber has subsidiaries in Australia, Brazil, Kenya, the Netherlands, Sri Lanka and the US. With the acquisition of Cincinnati Retread, Elgi Rubber aims to further expand its footprint in the tyre and automotive market of the US.
