COVID-19 outbreak: Fine of Rs 1,000 to be imposed for spitting at public places, says Ahmedabad Municipal Commissioner

Ahmedabad (Gujarat), Mar 21 (ANI): While addressing a press conference in Gujarat's Ahmedabad on March 20, the Municipal Commissioner of Ahmedabad, Vijay Nehra spoke on coronavirus. He said, "A mission has been started by Amdavad Municipal Corporation against the people spitting in open areas. We have fined all those individuals who were found spitting in public places." "From Monday (March 23) onwards we will increase the amount of fine from Rs 500 to Rs 1000 and those who will not pay fine we will register FIR against them," Ahmedabad Municipal Commissioner added.
