Hyderabad, Jan18 (ANI): Family members of a Dalit student, who committed suicide on Sunday night, staged a protest outside the university campus on Monday. Meanwhile, Hyderabad University students also protested on the university campus. One of the protestors alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was backing communal issues within the university. 25-year-old PhD scholar Rohith Vemula was one of the five dalit scholars expelled from the University of Hyderabad hostel 12 days ago. Rohith hung himself on Sunday, after he was charged with being involved in a tiff between two student groups in August 2015.
