NDRF continues relief operation in flood-hit Maharashtra's Sangli

Sangli (Maharashtra), Aug 10 (ANI): The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) officials are rigorously undertaking the relief operations in the flood-hit Sangli district in Maharashtra. The district is one of the worst hit by the incessant rains. The NDRF team is evacuating locals in Haripur village which has submerged in water. An NDRF official told ANI that the flow of water in the village is very strong and therefore women and children are being prioritised during evacuation. The official added that food and other essential items are being distributed to people who are still stuck in the houses.
