NGO launches campaign against single-use plastic in Delhi's Rohini

New Delhi, Sep 08 (ANI): Several carry bags made from recycled material were distributed free of cost among the residents of Delhi's Rohini area on September 07. Carry bags were distributed as part of a campaign in order to get rid from single-use plastic in the national capital. The bags were made from old clothes donated by the residents of Rohini. It is a campaign launched by an NGO to get rid of polythene bags. This drive will be held in all the assembly constituencies of Delhi and will eventually cover the entire nation. Leader of Opposition (LoP) in Delhi Assembly and Rohini's Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) Vijender Gupta said he was happy that the campaign had begun from his assembly constituency. While speaking to ANI, Vijender Gupta said, "I will make all efforts to make Delhi free from plastic by becoming part of this campaign." "I urged people to participate in this programme," he added.
