'Pigeon race' tradition in full swing during election in Lucknow

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), May 01 (ANI): As the Lok Sabha poll is moving towards culmination, election rage is also getting higher. Though the LS poll results will be announced on May 23, rooftops of old Lucknow gets a distinct result between Bharatiya Janata Party, Congress and SP-BSP alliance. Famous for its old-age tradition of Pigeon race, people in Lucknow still indulge in the sport. Amid the election fever in the country, 'kabootar bazi' has also taken a political turn. Different political party supporters participate in the sport. Pigeon sport enthusiast have coloured political symbols on their pigeons. All the pigeons representing different parties are flown together early in the morning. Whichever party's pigeon returns last, is considered as the winner.
