Stampede at INS Hamla recruitment rally

Mumbai, Sep 09 (ANI): Many are feared injured as a more than expected crowd showed up at the Naval recruitment rally at INS Hamla in Mumbai's Malad, which led to a stampede on Friday. Reportedly the situation went out of control when around 6,000 candidates showed up at the base, instead of the expected 4,000, and a large crowd tried to rush through the gate at once. The police have denied the use of batons to control the crowd.
