Thane (Maharashtra), Jan 20 (ANI): Commenting on the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and the proposed all-India National Register of Citizens (NRC), NCP leader Jitendra Awhad made a strong and passionate speech against CAA, NRC in a poetic form. "Main Delhi ke takht se poochta hoon, ab tu maangega mujhse saboot mere deshvasi hone ka? Toh sun, jab tera baap sar jhukakar angrezon ke talwe chaat raha tha, tab mera baap phansi ke takht ko choomke inquilab zindabad ke naare laga raha tha," the NCP leader said. "I ask from the rampart of Delhi, now you will ask proofs of my citizenship. So listen, when your father was toeing the line of Britishers, my father, staring at the gallows of death, was raising slogans of 'long live the revolution'."
