Emergency declared in Paris as over 100 killed in serial attacks

Paris, Nov 14 (ANI): French security forces carried out an assault at a Paris concert hall in the early hours of Saturday (November 14) after gunmen stormed the venue and killed around 100 people. Gunfire could be heard late Friday (November 13) from inside the Bataclan theatre where rock group Eagles of Death Metal was performing in concert. Shaken by the 'unprecedented terrorist attack' President Francois Hollande, who was attending an international soccer match with German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier when several explosions took place outside the national stadium, declared a state of emergency in the Paris region and announced the closure of France's borders to stop perpetrators escaping. Local media reports suggest that gunmen and accomplices are still at large, although it was unclear as how many were there.
