Nepal parliament differs from starting discussion over Chief Justice Impeachment

Kathmandu (Nepal), May 5 (ANI): The parliamentary meeting which was scheduled to hold discussion over the impeachment motion against Chief Justice Shusila Karki was differed as the opposition obstructed the meeting. The house was scheduled to hold discussion over the impeachment motion against CJ Karki which was registered last month. The opposition MPs, led by the main opposition CPN-UML (Communist Party of Nepal- Marxist-Leninist), came down from their seat and chanted slogans defying the impeachment. As house speaker Gharti informed the parliament about the commencement of the said meeting, MPs from the opposition came down from their seats to protest and obstruct the meeting. Though the house speaker invited the proposer of the impeachment motion, the oppositions blocked the way for the Nepali Congress MP, Min Bahadur Bishwokarma (Proposer of the Impeachment) to the rostrum. As the opposition continued demonstrating against the meeting, House Speaker Gharti adjourned the parliament
