Opposition hit the street to oppose constitution amendment

Kathmandu, Jan 06 (ANI): Nine opposition parties, including the main opposition CPN-UML, recently held a massive protest in Kathmandu against the government decision to table constitution amendment bill. The protesters marched the streets of the capital raising slogans against the government. The protesters claimed the amendment bill was against the constitution and proposed with an intention to appease the external forces. The opposition is demanding withdrawal of the amendment bill and pressurizing the government to announce the date for holding the local election.
