Sindhi community protests against forced conversions in Pakistan

Mississauga (Canada), Apr 01 (ANI): Canadian Sindhi Community staged a protest in Mississauga, Canada against forced conversion and marriages of Hindu girls in Pakistan. Various Sindhi Diasporas migrated from Pakistan to Canada showed their concern about this inhuman act during the protest.

They highlighted the recent case of kidnapping and forced conversion of two minor Hindu girls in Pakistan. Abductions and forced conversions is an issue faced by all of the minority religions across Pakistan, but in particular, it is the most serious problem facing by Hindu and Christian women and girls, mainly minor girls.

It has been estimated that hundreds of women and girls from religious minorities are abducted, forcibly converted and then married to their abductors every year.
