New York, Sep 26 (ANI): Pope Francis highlighted the cause of those "who don't appear to belong," a reference to undocumented migrants during his mass at Madison Square Garden. Friday night's mass was the culmination of a full day of events for the Argentine pontiff which saw him address world leaders at the United Nations, lead a multi-faith service at the September 11th memorial and greet crowds in Central Park. The papal mass left New York Catholics on a spiritual high at Madison Square Garden. The pope, who arrived in New York on Thursday night, earlier was serenaded by schoolchildren during a visit to a Catholic elementary school serving mostly Latino. Francis wraps up his six-day US trip in Philadelphia on Saturday and Sunday with a Catholic summit of families, a visit to a jail and a large outdoor Mass.
