Yoga popular among young people in Xi'an

Xi'an, May 14 (ANI): Yoga seemed to be quite popular among Chinese people as young people chose Yoga over the traditional Tai Chi in Xi'an, the capital of Shaanxi province, the first stop of PM Modi's three-day China visit. The Yogi Yoga School, which was founded by yoga guru Mohan Bhardari and his Chinese wife, Yin Yan twelve years ago has already enrolled 6,000 students in China. The students of the Yogi Yoga School will be performing yoga for PM Narendra Modi and Chinese Premier Li Keqiang at the Temple of Heaven in Beijing on May 15. Yoga is being considered a big part of PM Modi's new kind of diplomacy along with Modi's push for Buddhism and his decision to join the Chinese social media platform, Weibo. Prime Minister Modi is on the first leg of his three-nation tour that includes visits to China, Mongolia and South Korea.
