India vs West Indies 2019

The Indian team will visit West Indies for a month-long tour to play three T20Is, three ODIs and two Test matches. The Virat Kohli-led team will play 3 ODIs and 2 Test matches between August 8-30. The two Test matches will be part of the inaugural edition of the ICC World Test Championship.

For India, Shikhar Dhawan, who was ruled out of the World Cup after sustaining an injury to his left hand, has made his way to the limited-overs squads while Rishabh Pant has been named as the wicket-keeper across all three formats as veteran wicket-keeper batsman MS Dhoni has been rested. Putting all speculations to rest about India captain Virat Kohli's participation in the limited-overs series, he has been chosen to lead the team in all formats.

Meanwhile, fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has been rested for three ODIs and as many T20Is as chances have been given to new talent.

Wriddhiman Saha, Mayank Agarwal, and Hanuma Vihari found a spot for the two Tests while Shreyas Iyer, Manish Pandey, Rishabh Pant, Navdeep Saini will be a part of the ODI squad. Washington Sundar, Rahul Chahar, Khaleel Ahmed, Krunal Pandya, Deepak Chahar, and Navdeep Saini have been given places in the T20I squad.

Ravindra Jadeja, who impressed the world with his performance at the World Cup, has found a spot in all three squads. Ajinkya Rahane, Ishant Sharma, R Ashwin, and Umesh Yadav have returned for the two Tests.
