40% of Indian clinicians use AI, adoption triples since last year: Report

More than 40 per cent of clinicians in India could be using artificial intelligence technologies for work purposes -- a three-fold increase from 12 per cent since last year, estimates a report. Published by Elsevier, a Netherlands-based scientific and technical information disseminator which manages journals including 'The Lancet', the report also suggests that India's adoption of AI surpasses global average of 48 per cent, and is ahead of that in the US (36 per cent) and UK (34 per cent). "India's clinicians are showing remarkable agility and enthusiasm in embracing AI, setting a pace that not only keeps up with but often rivals global leaders," Shanker Kaul, chairman of Elsevier Health in India, said. Authors of the 'Clinician of the Future 2025' report wrote, "41 per cent of clinicians in India have used AI for work purposes, more than triple (of) last year's figure of 12 per cent." AI company Bonbloc Technologies files IPO papers with Sebi to raise ₹233 cr

Bonbloc Technologies, which builds SaaS solutions using Blockchain, IoT, and Data Science, has filed preliminary papers with markets regulator Sebi to raise funds through an initial public offering (IPO). The Chennai-based company's proposed maiden public offering is a combination of a fresh issue of shares worth Rs 230 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) of up to 3 crore shares by promoter Bonbloc Inc, according to the draft red herring prospectus (DRHP) filed on Saturday. From the fresh issue, the company plans to allocate Rs 136 crore towards investment in the development of its products and platforms and Rs 13 crore for the purchase of laptops. Also, a portion of the proceeds will be used to fund inorganic growth through unidentified acquisitions, other strategic initiatives, and for general corporate purposes. Only 51 per cent of faculty members are confident of a favourable impact of AI adoption on business school students, and only 7 per cent are expert users, even as the Indian B-Schools are increasingly adopting generative AI in teaching, research and curriculum design, according to a new survey. The survey conducted by MBAUniverse.com among 235 faculty members from India's top B-schools, including IIMs, IITs, ISB, XLRI, SPJIMR, MDI and NMIMS, offered a detailed look at how generative AI is shaping management education. According to the survey, 51 per cent of faculty report a favourable impact of AI on student learning, while over half expect AI's role in teaching, curriculum and research to increase in the next 12 months. GE Aerospace bets on AI, sees big success finding talent in India

Working on innovative aircraft engine technologies, GE Aerospace is using artificial intelligence to explore design space much more efficiently and ensure improved predictability for maintenance of engines, according to a senior company official. Brightcom partners with US firm CQT to co-develop AI defence tech

Tech firm Brightcom Group on Friday said it has inked a strategic initial pact with US-based defence manufacturer CQT Weapon Systems to co-develop defence technology. Concurrently, the tech firm's defence vertical, Brightcom Defence, is unveiling its portfolio of indigenously developed unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and the Maestro OS, an AI-powered defence operating system, a company statement said. Brightcom Group Ltd on Friday announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with CQT Weapon Systems, a renowned defence manufacturer based in Michigan, US, according to the statement.
