Electric mobility firm Magenta Mobility on Monday said it plans to add 10,000 electric vehicles -- both three and four-wheelers -- over the next financial year and is also looking at expanding into new cities such as Nashik, Nagpur, Vijayawada, Indore and Kolkata, among others. Auto component industry grows 11% to Rs 3.32 trillion in Apr-Sep: Acma

The automotive components industry grew 11 per cent year-on-year to Rs 3.32 lakh crore in the first half of the current fiscal, industry body ACMA said on Thursday. The turnover of the automotive component industry in the April-September period of last fiscal stood at Rs 2.98 lakh crore. "With vehicle sales across all segments reaching pre-pandemic levels and despite geopolitical challenges on the exports front, the auto components sector witnessed a steady growth in both domestic and international markets in the first half of FY2024-25," Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA) President Shradha Suri Marwah said. She said the festive season brought significant sales across most segments of the vehicle industry. Logistics cost in India to come down to 9% in next 2 years: Nitin Gadkari

Union minister Nitin Gadkari on Wednesday said the logistics cost in India will come down to 9 per cent within two years. Speaking during bauma Conexpo India, the Road Transport and Highways Minister said that "presently our logistics cost is 14-16 per cent... I assure you that within two years... our logistics cost will be 9 per cent. So we will be more competitive in the international market." In China, the logistics cost is 8 per cent and in the US and European countries it is 12 per cent, the minister said.
