US Secretary of State Antony Blinken will travel to India next week to attend the meeting of G20 foreign ministers and meet senior Indian officials to reaffirm America's strong partnership with the country. Protection and restitution of cultural heritage will be the theme for the first G20 culture track meet slated to be held from February 22-25 in Madhya Pradesh's Khajuraho, a top official said on Wednesday. Union Culture Secretary Govind Mohan, during a media interaction here, also said that the second and third meetings under this track will be held at Bhubaneswar in Odisha and Hampi in Karnataka. The first Environment and Climate Sustainability Working Group (ECSWG) meeting, under India's G20 presidency, started in Bengaluru on Thursday with focus on restoration of mining and forest fire affected areas. The Environment and Climate Sustainability Working Group, one of the 13 working groups under the Sherpa track, will meet four times between February and May. Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Saturday wrote a letter to the Centre seeking a grant of Rs 927 crore to take up special development work for the G20 summit in the national capital. In a letter to Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Sisodia said it will not be easy for the Delhi government to spend an extra Rs 927 crore from its limited resources for the G20 summit preparations.
