Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal will meet senior leaders and businesses in Riyadh during his two-day visit to Saudi Arabia, starting from October 24, to discuss ways to boost trade and investments between the two countries, an official statement said on Monday. Goyal will be attending the seventh edition of Future Investment Initiative (FII) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. 39 central ministries, 36 states, UTs onboarded PM Gati Shakti platform

As many as 39 ministries of central government and all 36 states and Union Territories have been onboarded on PM GatiShakti platform, which was launched on October 13, 2021, an official statement said on Thursday. The PM GatiShakti initiative was launched to develop an integrated infrastructure to reduce logistics costs. "Since the launch of PM GatiShakti on 13 October, 2021, 39 ministries of Govt of India, and all 36 states/UTs have been onboarded on PM GatiShakti platform," it said. Delay in roll-out of e-commerce policy damaging domestic retail trade: CAIT

Traders' body CAIT on Wednesday flagged the "inordinate delay" in the roll-out of a national e-commerce policy and consumer protection rules, saying the delay in their implementation has provided an opportunity to certain foreign e-commerce players to damage domestic retail trade. The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) sent a written communication in this regard to Minister for Commerce and Industry, Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution and Textiles, Piyush Goyal on Tuesday.
