The government on Thursday said it expects 5G services to be rolled out in the country by October 12, and the Centre will make sure that the prices are affordable for the consumers
The high-speed 5G services, which will be available in most part of the country in two-three years, are expected to remain affordable, telecom minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said on Thursday
The company must overcome poor technology decisions imposed on it and bridge the gap with private sector competitors
The minister, who arrived here on Tuesday on a two-day visit, said: "If the expenditure of the Railways is Rs 100, then only Rs 45 is charged from the passengers."
According to him, all tests such as static, dynamic, oscillation and others will be carried out and added that ICF will be rolling out more such trains.
The government has approved a package of Rs 1.64 lakh crore for the company and now responsibility lies on everyone to make the organisation very strong, the minister said.
