Hindustan Zinc, India's largest zinc producer by volumes, gained 1.91 per cent to close at Rs 566.70 after the company increased the price of zinc by Rs 2,900 a tonne to Rs 84,000, while leaving the lead prices unchanged at Rs 90,400 a tonne. The stock made an intraday high/low of Rs 570/Rs 556.10.

The counter witnessed trading volumes of 24,055 shares, a tad lower than the two-week average of 25,701 shares. The scrip made a 52-week high of Rs 969 on October 18, 2007 and a 52-week low of Rs 462.50 on July 2 this year.
