Steel prices remain steady in restricted trade

Steady conditions prevailed on the wholesale steel and iron market today with prices after moving in a tight range, settled around previous closing.

Arrivals and offtake too remained at low ebb and volume of business due to paucity of funds.

Traders said absence of buying by stockists due to tight money market conditions and sluggish demand, kept steel prices unchanged.
