B.L Joshi steps down as U.P Governor

The BJP-led NDA Government has started the process of replacing UPA-appointed governors, with news of Banwari Lal Joshi tendering his resignation as the Governor of Uttar Pradesh to the president of India.

Television reports said Joshi has already sent his files to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO). His resignation letter has been received by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and his acceptance letter has been sent to the PMO.
