Bengal finance dept launches portal

Finance minister Amit Mitra said that with the launch of e-receipt portal system, the government would be able to collect all tax dues from various sources.

The new system would bring in transparency, reduce fraud and raise tax collection in the state, he told reporters.

The money would be collected by designated banks and then deposited in the treasury.
