Two girls run over by pick up van

The accident took place when the driver lost control over the vehicle, police said.

The cleaner of the truck was injured when the driver in a bid to escape after running over the girls rammed the vehicle into the railings, he said.

The driver escaped after abandoning the vehicle, which has been impounded, he added.
