Refex Mobility, which provides all-electric vehicle-based mobility solutions to corporates, on Monday said it has crossed the Rs 100 crore revenue milestone in FY26. The clean mobility arm of Refex Industries Ltd has reported a total income of Rs 103.2 crore in FY 2025-26, reporting a "2.5x growth", according to a statement issued by the company. "The company completed more than 1.5 million trips across the enterprise and executive mobility segments, during the year, reflecting both growing scale and improving platform economics," it said. Besides, Refex Mobility also expects to achieve operational breakeven by FY2027-28. Within three years of operations, Refex Mobility has scaled its operating fleet size to over 1,750 vehicles across five major cities. The West Bengal government has notified free bus travel for women in all state government-run buses from June 1 as part of a scheme aimed at enhancing women's empowerment and improving access to public transport. According to a notification issued by the state Transport Department on May 21, women commuters will be eligible for free travel in both short-route and long-route state-run buses operating in West Bengal. The Transport department notification said a smart card with QR code, photograph and beneficiary details will be issued to all eligible women upon application through the BDO or SDO offices concerned. Global travel-tech firm FlixBus, which offers long-distance bus and train services, expects India to become its largest market by passenger volume by 2030, according to a senior company official. The company, which entered the Indian market in February 2024, currently offers only intercity bus services in India and plans to further scale its operations on the Delhi-Dehradun corridor, FlixBus Chief Commercial Officer Max Zeumer told PTI. "India represents one of FlixBus' most strategic growth markets globally and is expected to become the company's largest market by passenger volume by 2030," he said when asked about the potential of the market here. The Ministry of Road, Transport and Highways (MoRTH) on Thursday said it is developing a rating system to assess the performance of contractor firms engaged in National Highways works. The ministry, in a concept note, said that for rating purposes, the contracts would be divided into three classes: projects of Rs 100 crore or more up to Rs 300 crore; projects of more than Rs 300 crore up to Rs 1,000 crore; and projects of more than Rs 1,000 crore. The note said rating exercise shall be done once in a year, in the first iteration, eligible projects up to February 15 will be taken up and preferably rated by March 31, and thereafter, for eligible projects up to November 15 and preferably rated by December 31 every year. "Accordingly, rating of contractors/concessionaires would also be done in classes," it said. The Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited has requested the Railway Board to provide additional wagons suitable for its truck-on-train service, officials said on Sunday. The truck-on-train (ToT) service enables the transportation of trucks and milk tankers on specially designed wagons. It was launched on the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor on September 18, 2023 and plies between Rewari in Haryana and Palanpur in Gujarat. The service significantly reduces transportation cost and time, traffic congestion, and air pollution, among other benefits. Officials said that nearly a year after the launch, the Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL) wrote to the Railway Board seeking more wagons to tap its growing business potential, and has been pursuing the request since then.
