100,000 shareholders can log onto RIL's first e-AGM on Wednesday

Reliance Industries (RIL) will hold its first online annual general meeting (AGM) on Wednesday and it promises to be a much bigger affair with a brand-new virtual platform that can log more than 100,000 shareholders simultaneously. 

Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani will address shareholders using the in-house JioMeet platform. Since its last AGM, RIL has raised Rs 2.03 trillion worth of funds, including from sale of stake in Jio Platforms and a rights issue. In the same time span, RIL’s m-cap has moved to $169 billion, compared to $ 118.4 billion on July 12, 2019.
