Lakshmi Vilas Bank has registered a drop of 67.37 per cent in its net profit at Rs 5.85 crore for the quarter ended September 30, compared with Rs 17.93 crore for the corresponding period of the last financial year.
Total income rose 12.5 per cent to Rs 536.76 crore, as against Rs 477.01 crore during the corresponding period of the previous year. The gross NPA witnessed an increase to Rs 644.12 crore (5.22 per cent) as compared to Rs 490.61 crore (4.50 per cent). Net NPA was at Rs 457.35 crore (3.77 per cent) during the quarter, increasing from Rs 316.25 crore (2.95 per cent), registered during the same period of last year.
