Eko wants to be a mobile enterprise platform. The workplace messaging app has the mobile-first mentality and the WhatsApp-esque interface of the new wave of business chat apps that are toppling the old dinosaurs like Yammer. It recently secured series A funding led by China-based Gobi Partners.

TravelersBox | Israel
Israeli start-up TravelersBox helps travelers convert their spare leftover change directly into eWallets, gift cards, and more. Located at several airports around the world, the kiosks accept the US dollar, Euro, British pound, Phillipines peso, Russian ruble, Turkish lira, and Georgian lari.

Krowdpop | South Korea
 
Developed by K-pop United, crowdfunding site Krowdpop that allows fans to create campaigns to bring their favorite K-pop idol to their town, anywhere in the world. It is also a payment channel that manages ticket purchases, delivering a 100 percent refund to fans if the show is cancelled, thus minimizing losses to buyers.

Moxy | Thailand
Moxy is a new everything-store for women in Indonesia. It plans to stand out by presenting itself as a shop exclusive to women, covering the whole range of products that become relevant in various stages of a woman’s life, and by developing a strong brand personality.

Qwikcilver | India
Bengaluru-based Qwikcilver launched Woohoo, a gift card store that partners with brands from 400 cities to give the gift receiver a choice of buying from categories like kitchenware, apparel, and jewellery. The cards can also be redeemed for experiences like a trip to the movies, dining out, visiting a spa, or travel.
