To develop a pan-India common agriculture market which would help growers get a better price for their produce, the Central government along with the NITI Aayog and over 70- senior level officers from states would discuss agriculture marketing reforms next week.
The reforms which are critical to realise Prime Minister’s dream of doubling farmers’ income by 2022 have to carried on by the states as agriculture marketing is a state subject.
