Boasting one-third of the country's tourist arrivals, Rajasthan now plans to showcase the Hadauti belt that has a lot of forts, dams and rivers as the new destination for foreigners visiting the state.

"The Bundi-Kota-Jhalawar circuit comprising the Hadauti belt has been projected among the best tourist destinations at the recently International Tourist Bureaux in Berlin," Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation Managing Director Rakesh Saini told reporters here.

He said a newly set-up tourist village at Jhalawar would be one of the attractions under the plan besides the forts, dams and river sites the lush Hadauti belt is known for.

Saini said foreigners from Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Italy who visited the Rajasthan pavillion at ITB evinced a keen interest in the Hadauti belt, when it was showcased as a tourist spot.
