PM Modi holds e-meeting with CMs, says economy showing green shoots

The experience of many states increases the confidence that India can move forward in this crisis of by limiting its losses and can handle its economy faster, PM Modi said

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said the economy is showing "green shoots" as the country emerges from the coronavirus lockdown and asserted that the fight against the pandemic is a fine example of cooperative federalism where the Centre and the states are working together.

In his opening remarks at a meeting with chief ministers and Lt Governors of 21 states and union territories, he said one laxity can undo what has been achieved in the fight against Covid-19 and urged people not to lower their guard against the killer virus.
