Forex reserves near 3-mth low

The foreign exchange reserves of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) have fallen to near a three-month low for the week ending September 12, show data released on Friday. During the week ending September 12, the reserves fell by $1.62 billion to $315.70 billion, the data show.

The reserves stood at $314.92 billion in the week ending June 20. Foreign currency assets, a key component of reserves fell by $1.60 billion to $288.76 billion. Gold reserves remained unchanged during the week.

For the week under review, the Special Drawing Rights fell by $11.4 million to $4.33 billion.

While India's reserve position with the International Monetary Fund was down $4.4 million to $1.67 billion.
