An Inter-Ministerial Committee set up for preparing a comprehensive legislation on tackling various aspects of trafficking

An Inter-Ministerial Committee under the Chairmanship of Secretary, Women & Child Development has been constituted on 16.11.2015 for preparing a comprehensive legislation on tackling various aspects of trafficking. The Government will finalise the legislative measure on submission of report by the Inter-Ministerial Committee.

This information was given by the Union Minister of Women and Child Development, Smt Maneka Sanjay Gandhi in reply to a question in Rajya Sabha today.
