The Dredging Corporation of India Ltd. (DCI), a Central Public Sector Enterprise under Ministry of Shipping has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Andhra Pradesh Government, as per which the Andhra Pradesh Government has agreed to allot land of 175 acres in order to enable DCI to set up a training and repair & workshop facility, construction of jetty for berthing dredgers etc. at Antarvedi in East Godavari District. A survey has been conducted by DCI in this regard.
This information was given by Minister of State for Shipping and Road Transport and Highways Shri Pon. Radhakrishnan in a written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha today.
