Prostate gland in found in men at the base of the urinary bladder, it surrounds the top part of the urethra. The primary function of the prostate gland is to produce seminal fluid that nourishes the sperms; other secondary functions include keeping the lining of the urethra moist, control over urination and more. During birth the prostate gland is of the size of a pea, it keeps on growing and becomes that of the size of a walnut till the individual reaches adulthood that is around age of 20 after which the growth stops.
