E-commerce giant Alibaba sold goods worth 2 billion dollars this year in the first hour of annual "Singles' Day" in China.
The company managed to surpass 10 billion dollars seven and a half hours into the day.
According to Tech Crunch, last year, Alibaba made 5.75 billion dollars in sales across its two biggest shopping services - its Taobao Marketplace and T-Mall site for brands - and already the company has broken its first major milestones today.
The online retailer said that it sold goods worth 1 billion dollars this year in less than 20 minutes.
As compared to last year, the Chinese e-commerce giant has widened its reach, with sales expanding worldwide, the report said.
