Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has said that Rooney's skills could be overshadowed just like Cristiano Ronaldo if he quits the Old Trafford team, adding that the club was capable of winning maximum trophies.
According to The Sun, the Red Devils player wants to see both Ronaldo and Rooney play alongside him for United this season, with Ronaldo already being linked with a move back to the club.
Ferdinand said that he did not see any better place than Manchester United and even though Ronaldo had been a wonderful player, he had not won more trophies since he left the Manchester club.
The defender added that he would never come to Old Trafford as an away player because it did not seem right to him.
