Idina Menzel is set to star in a TV comedy series called 'Happy Time.'
The half-hour sitcom, which is written by Randi Barnes, is to be produced by Ellen DeGeneres via her A Very Good Production and Warner Bros. TV, Deadline.com reported.
The single-camera comedy, which is slated for 2015-2016 TV cycle and is expected to be taken out in the summer, is described as a comedy about a woman (the 'Let it Go' singer) in the public eye who's ready to stop pretending she's so damned happy all the time.
Barnes is executive producing with A Very Good Prods.' DeGeneres and Jeff Kleeman.
