Jammu and Kashmir schools remain closed due to intense snowfall

Schools in Jammu and

Kashmir's Doda district remained closed due to heavy snowfall on Thursday.

Jammu and Kashmir also experienced heavy rains and fresh snowfall, disrupting normal life.

The snowfall led to a suspension of vehicular traffic early on Jammu- Srinagar National Highway (NH) - 44 following landslides at Digdol and Panthial.

The Meteorological Department has predicted widespread rain and snow, till March 13.
