Minor quake jolts Hyderabad

A low intensity earthquake jolted parts of south Hyderabad late on Friday night.

According to reports, the earthquake, which was of magnitude 1.8 on the Richter scale, was noticed around 10.30 pm in many areas of the city including Jubilee Hills, Towlichowki, Rajendranagar and Pahadishareef, besides some parts of Old City.

According to National Geophysical Research Institute (NGRI), the epicentre of the quake was near Budvel.

No loss of life or to property has been reported so far.
