Pak army and air force chiefs review Operation 'Zarb-i-Azb'

Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff, General Raheel Sharif, visited Air Headquarters in Islamabad on Thursday.

He met Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt, a statement issued on the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) website said.

According to the statement, progress of the ongoing Operation 'Zarb-i-Azb' was reviewed, and matters of mutual interest were discussed during the meeting.

Operation 'Zarb-i-Azb was launched last week against local and foreign militants in North Waziristan on the directions of the government.

The operation has been named Zarb-i-Azb", head of the Inter-Services Public Relations, Major General Asim Bajwa, said in a statement.

Azb was the name of the sword of Prophet Muhammad.
