Twitter reportedly fired an employee in 2015 who was allegedly spying for Saudi Arabian leadership.

Former Twitter employee Ali Alzabarah joined Twitter in 2013 and worked his way into an engineering position that allowed him access to the personal information and account activity of Twitter users, Mashable reported.

The intelligence officials alerted Twitter at the end of 2015 about Alzabarah who was found sharing sensitive information on dissidents and critics of the Saudi Arabian government.
