Vyapam scam: SIT protecting MP Chief Minister, alleges Brinda Karat
Karat further added that the MP govt has "absolutely no credibility"

Communist Party of India (Marxist) leader Brinda Karat on Monday alleged that the SIT probing the Vyapam scam is protecting Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, adding her disbelief over an impartial investigation.
"The Madhya Pradesh government has absolutely no credibility, nor does their reply have any credibility. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan's name has also been deeply involved in the entire scam. It is absolutely impossible to believe, while he continues as Chief Minister, any justice will be done to an impartial investigation...the SIT is totally a Shivraj Chouhan protecting agency," she said.

Earlier in the day, the Supreme Court had agreed to hear a petition against Madhya Pradesh Governor Ram Naresh Yadav to ensure a fair inquiry in the Vyapam scam.
The matter is scheduled to be heard on July 9.
The Vyapam scam involved the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board or Vyapam, which holds the exams for positions like medical officers, constables, teachers and auditors for government departments.
The candidates allegedly bribed government officials to make it to the list of those who cleared the test.
