Capital Goods stocks edge higher
Capital Goods stocks were trading in green, with the S&P BSE Capital Goods index increasing 95.88 points or 0.53% at 18190.57 at 09:47 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Capital Goods index, Finolex Cables Ltd (up 1.27%), Carborundum Universal Ltd (up 1.18%),Thermax Ltd (up 1.05%),Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (up 0.96%),Lakshmi Machine Works Ltd (up 0.83%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Havells India Ltd (up 0.74%), V-Guard Industries Ltd (up 0.68%), Siemens Ltd (up 0.61%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd (up 0.61%), and Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (up 0.58%).
On the other hand, Graphite India Ltd (down 1.4%), and Bharat Electronics Ltd (down 0.04%) turned lower.
At 09:47 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 38.66 or 0.1% at 38637.65.
The Nifty 50 index was up 2.85 points or 0.02% at 11466.85.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 25.1 points or 0.2% at 12825.02.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 8.58 points or 0.2% at 4368.18.
On BSE,743 shares were trading in green, 613 were trading in red and 72 were unchanged.
